Professional Salon Services

Prices vary depending on the client’s needs, wants and who performs the service. Long and double processed hair requires additional time, product and effort to complete.  There are several levels of pricing depending on advanced training and high volume of clientel.  All of Santa Fe’s stylists have exhibited rare talent with hair. From the scores of applicants we receive, we select only those talented stylists who also possess a positive, caring attitude toward their clients and fellow staff members. We have service providers for  all hair types.

We are a teaching facility who train new service providers in house. In our associate program our new stylists work closely with master stylists to perfect their art. All stylists are required to attend a minimum of three continuing education classes per year in order to maintain their positions at Santa Fe Day Spa & Salon. Most, because of their passion to be the very best, attend many more than the three required.

 Scalp Treatments

To remain healthy and youthful, the scalp requires a monthly treatment. We can design a treatment for your needs to be done on site or at home.

Hair Extensions

Human hair is used for our extensions. The cost depends on the quality and length of the hair that the client chooses and how much hair is needed.

Thermal Hair Straightening

Thermal hair straightening is for the client who has a strong curl pattern and who has trouble styling their hair as a result.

The price is based on the time it would take to complete the client’s process and $150 an hour is charged. The length of the hair, as well as the strength of the curl pattern, are both determining factors. Typically the process takes four to eight hours to complete. Lasts up to 6 months and depends on number of shampoos.  Sometimes referred to as Japenese Straighner.

Hair must  be washed with a sodium-free shampoo and conditioner. We recommend the Pureology products that we carry at Santa Fe.

Keratin Complex Straighnening Treatment

The price is based on the time it would take to complete the client’s process and $150 an hour is charged. The length and damage of the hair, as well as the strength of the curl pattern, are  determining factors on time. Typically the process takes one and half to four hours to complete. Lasts 6 weeks to four months and depends on the number of shampoos.

After application the hair must not be washed for 3-4 days. Thereafter, it is washed with a sodium-free shampoo and conditioner. We recommend the Pureology products that we carry at Santa Fe. Results are frizz free, soft, shiny hair ready for styling or air-drying.

This treatment is truly amazing. It is great for all ethnicities, Caucasian, African, or Asian can be processed. The treatment works even better on colored, bleached or damaged hair because the cuticle is already opened. The hair can be colored in as little as two weeks after the treatment. To be bone straight, African hair that has not been relaxed may have to be pre-relaxed to get the best results, but will be much more manageable even without the pre relaxer.

 

Color Correction

The price must be quoted per case. The price depends on the correction needed and the end result desired. Multiple applications and more than one visit to the salon may be needed. Color correction indicates that a color was applied, usually by the client or by a stylist at another salon and the client received an undesired result. Coloring hair involves a chemical reaction. So our colorists will be asked to correct a chemical process on a unknown chemical. The reaction can not always be predictable. Different brands have different chemical properties. Our stylists do perform miracles but not by a wave of a magic wand, but by incredible skill and knowledge of the coloring process.

Products

Santa Fe Day Spa and Salon proudly uses Redken New York Color. Pureology and Redken hair care products are also available for take home hair care. We cannot guarantee our chemical work unless hair care products are purchased from us. Department store and drug store products can strip color. Non-salon distributed products can also weaken chemical relaxers and perms. Sometimes you may find these salon products in grocery, department or drug stores but they are acquired by diversion. Diversion means that the manufacturers did not sell the non-salon retail outlets these products, but that the products were distributed by other parties illegally. The manufacturer cannot and will not guarantee the contents of diverted products. Safe guard your hair and health, and that of your family by not purchasing diverted products.
